Qwant filed a complaint earlier this year saying the US company’s rivals were limiting its ability to thrive in the Internet search industry. The French company specifically argued that Microsoft imposed special conditions when displaying results and ads and exploited its platform to the detriment of partners.

Qwant search engine previously used Bing technology to generate search results and news blocks. After a closed meeting in June, antitrust investigators recommended denying the investigation request. According to sources, the official decision may be issued within the next two weeks.
