In the first 10 days, iPhone 17 sales in the US and China were 14% ahead of the iPhone 16 in 2024, Reuters reports, citing Counterpoint data.
Much of this growth was driven by the promotion of the base iPhone 17. In China, its sales almost doubled compared to the iPhone 16.
Analysts say the standard iPhone 17 offers excellent value for money and a number of improvements, including an upgraded display, a new front-facing camera and the base version with 256GB of internal storage.
According to the research company, the iPhone 17 outperforms its predecessor by 14% at launch in China and the United States.
