Previous models had the numbers Xperia 1 VI – PM-1490-BV and Xperia 1 VII – PM-1500-BV, confirming that the new codes belong to the Xperia 1 VIII.
Previously, the fate of the Xperia series was “unclear” and there were rumors about its possible departure from Sony’s flagship market. However, the company’s CFO confirmed that Xperia support will continue. Qualcomm also named Sony among the manufacturers that will use its latest processor.
It is not known exactly when and where the new product will go on sale.
