Scientists said on the Laboratory’s Telegram channel that the comets in question “originated from a primitive cloud of gas and dust during the formation of the solar system and are one of the oldest objects.” In addition, these celestial bodies are considered one of the oldest, some of them appeared long before the appearance of the Sun. Telescopes observed two comets several billion years old, and devices recorded “the sad end of the lives of two travelers.”
It is possible that these comets formed simultaneously, or that they were parts of a larger comet that was destroyed by a collision with an unknown celestial body. It was this collision that changed the orbits of comets, bringing them closer to the Sun.
