Prominent insiders Mark Gurman and Ming-Chi Ko have repeatedly predicted that the foldable iPhone will be released in 2026. However, the latest report from Mizuho Securities, citing Apple’s sourcing and supply of electronic components, claims that the vendor has not yet completed work on the design of the foldable iPhone. Development was delayed due to the need to select appropriate components based on the iPhone Fold’s design.

The source claims that Apple may face difficulties in acquiring all the necessary components. If the situation does not change, the launch of the foldable iPhone may be postponed until 2027. And most likely the decision has already been made.

Reviewers also note that the foldable iPhone will also be the smallest and largest device in Apple’s lineup. For now, the iPhone 16e is the smallest smartphone with 6.1 inches, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max is the largest with 6.9 inches.
