Investors speculate that the management of the Meteora cryptocurrency exchange, where $MELANIA was originally traded, has pre-purchased a significant amount of the currency. Individuals then sold their holdings at a profit, causing the cryptocurrency to crash, according to court documents filed in Manhattan federal court. And the accusation also applies to Melania Trump; in general, this is a series of lawsuits filed against other cryptocurrencies in April.
There is no evidence yet that Melania Trump was aware of or participated in the alleged fraudulent activities. He is not named in the plaintiffs’ documents.
