6s Gen 4 was the first in the series for the 4nm process. According to Qualcomm, the new chip offers up to 36% faster CPU performance and 59% faster GPU performance compared to previous 6nm models. The chip contains 8 Kryo cores: four productive at up to 2.4 GHz and four energy efficient at up to 1.8 GHz.
Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 supports Full HD+ displays with refresh rates up to 144Hz, as well as Snapdragon Elite Gaming features that reduce lag and improve gaming graphics.
In terms of cameras, the chip can handle sensors of up to 200 MP and record 2K video. There is support for Multi-Frame Noise Reduction technology, which makes images brighter and clearer in low light. Connectivity improvements include 5G Version 16, Wi-Fi 6E with speeds up to 2.9 Gbps, and Bluetooth 5.4.
The first smartphones with this chip are expected to be purchased by Xiaomi, Oppo and Motorola.
