Tesla plans to begin production of Optimus this year and increase production to one million units per year by the end of 2026, well ahead of the original 2030 deadline.

Musk is confident that the robot could become Tesla’s biggest product and account for more than 80% of the company’s value in the future. He also said that thousands of robots could assist workers in Tesla factories by performing dangerous, monotonous and repetitive tasks.
