The developer Signal company has developed the Prometheus software and hardware complex with the Filin positioning and leveling system, based on Rostec’s achievements in navigation.
The new technology works continuously at any time of the day or year, speeding up construction and improving the quality of roads. According to Vladimir Pimenov, general director of JSC VNII Signal, the management organization of JSC KEMZ, these products are able to automate all types of road construction equipment.
It was reported that at the Roads 2025 exhibition, experts demonstrated automatic asphalt paving using Desna 2100 equipment and RV-7DD and RV-11DD rollers.
“The significant scientific and technical base accumulated by the initiatives of the Rostec state enterprise in the field of special-purpose land navigation allowed Signal to quickly create the domestic precision positioning and leveling system “Filin” for the road industry, as well as the hardware and software complex “Prometheus”, which can automate all types of road construction equipment,” Pimenov said.
