Researchers have found that a bioactive compound in strawberries called pelargonidine may be associated with fewer protein clumps in the brain associated with Alzheimer’s disease.

The scientists hypothesized that pelargonidine’s anti-inflammatory properties could reduce overall neuroinflammation. Strawberry is the richest source of pelargonid among strawberries.
