These groups are also associated with a higher risk of heart attack. People with IV blood in particular are at the highest risk. Another recent study found that people with blood type II were slightly more likely to have a stroke before age 60 than people with blood type I.

It also seems interesting that mosquitoes prefer to bite people with the first blood type. And in a large study of European patients, blood group I patients were shown to have a slightly lower risk of dying from COVID-19.
