Bang & Olufsen has announced the new Beoplay EX headphones with active noise canceling. They are also completely waterproof. According to the manufacturer, the headphones stand out with their renewed design. This is in the form of a handle, which they say is comfortable and stylish.

The mirror glass on the earpiece features a brushed aluminum ring. The buyer can choose from a coating in Black Anthracite, Gold Tone or Anthracite Oxygen. The charging case has a brushed aluminum layer.

The earphones have room for a 9.2mm driver. This is the largest number the brand has ever used in a wireless device. B&O claims 20 hours of playback including in-case charging and six hours of playback with active noise cancellation enabled. In addition, Beoplay EX has three microphones, beamforming technology and built-in local speech functionality.

Wireless connection is made via bluetooth 5.2. Multipoint connectivity allows the earphones to be connected to two devices at the same time, allowing users to listen to music on one device and make phone calls on the other. As mentioned, the device is dust and waterproof thanks to an ip57 rating.

At the time of writing, it is not yet known when Beoplay EX will be released. Headphones will cost 399 euros.
