ViewSonic has expanded its ColorPro monitor range with the VP2776. This 27-inch model is the first model in the professional use VP76 series. For example, a high color gamut is offered along with connectivity via USB type-c and a rotary knob for instant access to color calibration and other settings.

Its nano-IPS panel combines 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution with 165Hz refresh rate and 5ms GTG response times. While the manufacturer claims to cover 98% of the dci-p3 color range, the delta E values (color errors) should be less than 2 thanks to the factory calibration. Also, the display comes with a calibration report that includes the dci-p3. p3, srgb and Rec. 709 is discussed. Other features include hdr400 and Pantone authentication.

With the included ColorPro Wheel, users should be able to adjust colors quickly. Also, this spinner can be used to perform all kinds of functions in editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Capture One. The settings menu can also be accessed with the wheel.

The magnetically removable hood should help block out ambient light.

Regarding I/O, video is provided by two HDMI 2.0 and a display port, while a headphone jack and two 3W speakers take care of the audio. In addition to the two USB type-c ports, there are two more type-a connectors and a single type-b copy of the lot. In terms of ergonomics, the included foot provides tilt, swivel and height adjustment. Finally, there are 100 x 100 millimeter vesa mounting points.

The VP2776 is expected to arrive in May with a suggested retail price of $800. It is not yet known exactly how much the screen will cost in the Benelux.
