Suppliers of IKEA products began to sell furniture, textiles and household items on the Yandex.Market platform, writes RIA Novosti.
The products are now available through 11 partners of the Swedish retailer. Among them are the AGF-Group company from Kazakhstan (it sells products under the Arua brand), the Askona factory, the Shuisky Sitzy plant and the Angstrem furniture holding company.
“Market” agrees to connect to other IKEA suppliers.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Viktor Yevtukhov, admitted that the suppliers would sell the same products that they supplied to the Swedish network under their own brands. According to the department, more than 30 Russian companies cooperated with IKEA.
- At the end of June, products from IKEA suppliers appeared at the Wildberries market.
- In mid-June, IKEA-brand products appeared on Yandex.Market and Ozon. “Market” later confirmed the existence of several such proposals and said that it was reviewing them.
IKEA announced the suspension of work in Russia on March 3. The fallout from the military operation in Ukraine led to disruptions in the supply chain of goods and logistical difficulties, the company said.
On June 15, IKEA announced that it would eliminate its business in Russia and sell the four factories located in the Moscow, Leningrad, Kirov and Novgorod regions.
At the same time, IKEA announced a sale of warehouse products for employees, which was a great success. On July 5, the company planned a sale for the rest of the Russians, but there was a technical failure in the operation of the store’s website – users could not open it and add products to the basket.
Later, the company created a queue on the site and suspended orders twice in Moscow and once in St. Petersburg, and from July 22 to 24, online shopping was not available in Russian cities.
