According to insiders, the messenger will be able to send animated emoji inside messages. They are currently static and only move when sending some emojis one by one.

The innovation can be found in the latest Telegram 8.9.0 Beta for Android. Something similar was implemented more than 10 years ago on another once popular messenger, ICQ. You can find the beta version of Pavel Durov’s project here.

Recall that earlier Telegram offered a Premium subscription. Among the features it offers users is the ability to choose from a larger number of emojis while reacting to messages.
