Roskomnadzor announced the launch of a domestic analogue of Downdetector – a service for tracking failures in the operation of websites and Internet resources. The Russian version of Downdetector stopped working after the start of the special operation.

In Russia, a domestic analogue of Downdetector was released

The Center for Monitoring and Management of the Public Communications Network has launched the Fault Monitoring service, Roskomnadzor said. This is a domestic analogue of the foreign service Downdetector, the Russian version of which has not been working since April 2022.

Crash Monitor monitors the availability of Internet sites and resources based on user complaints. The severity of the failures is reflected in the heat map.

“If the failure is massive, the center’s specialists will unite to solve the problem together with telecom operators and service owners,” Roskomnadzor said.

Although the Russian version of Downdetector does not work in Russia, the English version is available to users. In addition, Downdetector has other analogues, for example, the Brand Analytics flaw detector.
