Swedish retailer IKEA has increased the number of cities in Russia for delivery of goods as part of an online sale, the company reports on its website.

IKEA has expanded its delivery area in Russia to ten more cities where it does not have stores

The delivery area has been expanded to ten more cities: Volgograd, Voronezh, Penza, Perm, Saratov, Sochi, Tolyatti, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk and Chelyabinsk. The company does not have stores in these cities.

Previously, IKEA offered product delivery only in those cities where there are chain stores. These are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Ufa, as well as the territories adjacent to them, but not more than 50 km from the city.

In early March, IKEA announced the suspension of work in Russia amid a special operation. In mid-June, the company announced that it would reduce business in the country and sell its factories, as well as carry out a sale of surplus products.

First, the company held a sale for employees, and on July 5 it started an online sale for customers, which is still going on. Customers have repeatedly complained about the site’s glitches. They take place against the background of a large number of people who want to buy IKEA products.
