A deadly bacteria was found in the shawarma of a large federal retailer. Staphylococcus aureus infection can lead to the death of a person, Roskoshestvo noted. The department’s specialists examined 29 samples of the dish from different sellers and only two of them did not make any complaints.

Roskachestvo specialists discovered the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in Auchan’s shawarma. Infection with this bacteria can be fatal, the department informed TASS.

Roskoshestvo will test 29 shawarma samples from different sellers. Experts found E. coli bacteria in 15 samples of the dish: fresh Ozon shawarma, Restoria, Vkusvilla, Dostaevsky, Miratorg, Globus, The Most Delicious Shawarma, Chef Doner, Dobrye Eat, Cafe Kebab, “Shaverlanda”, “Shaverno”, “Twist the Twirl”, “Simply Vasya” and “Super kebab”.

In total, no violations of microbiological standards were found in 27 of the 29 samples tested, and only two shawarma samples passed the test.

Sellers, in whose shawarma Roskachestvo found violations of sanitary and epidemiological standards, reported internal inspections and corrective measures.
