Apple’s key partner, Foxconn, has an iPhone production line in countries outside of China, such as Brazil and India. Operations in China are most important when it comes to overseas shipments of the iPhone.
However, this time around, Apple is likely to increase production of at least one version of the iPhone 14 simultaneously in India and China, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Prior to this, the Cupertinos started only with China, subsequently connecting India. Kuo stressed that Apple’s decision to increase production of the iPhone 14 is due to geopolitical necessity on the company’s chain of probability.
As a rule, the start of production of a new iPhone outside of China usually takes several months. For example, Foxconn started assembling the iPhone 13 in India last year, and production in Brazil began many weeks later.
