After 70 years, they are violated, the lord of the sleepy kingdom reveals nature, but he has already managed to lose everything and everyone.
To return everything to its place, go through a difficult path in which not only he suffers.
Strange as it may seem, the plot became the most chosen part of the novelty. The general atmosphere remained, but it became softer. These are not infernal worlds, but more fabulous, but at the same time with a serious flavor of fear. No, frankly, they don’t intend to scare anyone here, but it’s easy to scare.
I’ll tell fans of the cult comic right away – there’s nothing to worry about. Here, almost everything is observed in the frames of the created world, the canon is observed almost thoroughly.
For this, thanks to Neil Gaiman himself, who actively participated in writing the script. It can be seen that his literally hand kept the typical Netflix writers and didn’t let it get messed up.
True, here lies the catch. the plot is written from comics, do not expect unexpected twists. You already know everything. Almost.
Those who are not familiar with the original source will be pleasantly surprised by what they see. Yes, you can predict some things, there is no escape, but I’m willing to bet that this will not play a role in the final impressions.
The choice of Tom Sturridge for the lead role is best thing to happen to the series.
He literally shows his natural emotional excitability, and his voice initially voices you in the first minutes. This is a true Dream placed by an extraterrestrial destination.
In essence, this is a powerful, slightly strange (especially at the very beginning), and surprisingly joyful adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s graphic novels from Netflix.
The staging is good, but it doesn’t match the graphics
According to some reports, about $15 million will be released for each Netflix series. This is not much, but not very little either.
It is possible that you have your own style, which differs from your predisposition. The project takes exactly the spirit of otherworldly horror and mysterious mysticism. What to expect next.
Mannered: everything changes smoothly from series to series. And at the same time, you understand who, where and what should be done, what it will result in and how it will end. General transitions look logical, although some points of logic do not lend themselves. True, the news mainly concerns the original with which the plot was written.
Sometimes excessive drama is perceived spoils the perception. But this is quickly fading away look and agreement.
As far as graphic stability is concerned, just fine. In addition, how to say that “the graphics are suitable and not striking” is impossible. Looks organic. That’s all. You can easily find out the drawing, since there are no budgets in the project. And yes, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

Against the background of recent releases from Netflix, The Sandman looks like a really worthwhile series.
It can be seen how the authors treated the original source with care (not without the help of the author of the comics), endured the events with soul and respect. Acting further fuels interest in an interesting plot.
