The host of the “Teddy Reviewer” channel published on YouTube compared Samsung’s four new A-series. These are Samsung Galaxy A23, A33, A53, A73.
In general, it all depends on your budget, of course. If you have some money, you can get the A13 right away. However, if you are considering which one to choose between A23, A33, A53 and A73, your job here will be more difficult.
There are several features that all A-series smartphones offered are the same. This is NFC support, two SIM cards, the ability to increase the internal memory up to 1 TB, four main cameras and a front camera, optical stabilization, Gorilla Glass 5 glass, plastic case, 6/8 GB of RAM (4 GB of RAM in models when younger) There is a 5000mAh battery option.
If we talk about processors, they differ in devices. A23 runs on Snapdragon 680, A33 and A53 runs on Exynos 1280, A73 runs on Snapdragon 778G. You can see the test results in the comparisons below.
The camera specifications for all four models are different. The main lens of the A23 is 50 MP, A33 48 MP, A53 64 MP and A73 108 MP. The photos come out different in general. The most contrasting ones are obtained in the A73 and the lightest in the A33. When shooting on a wide-angle camera, the pictures are more or less the same, the same applies to the macro module. There is a difference between portrait photos, but very small: it is noticeable that the detailing of the A23 is worse than that of other models. If we compare the A53 and A73, the pictures on them usually differ little from each other.
In poor lighting, the A73 focuses for a long time and this focus is lost in the photo again. The A53 copes better in such conditions, both in Night mode and without it. Strangely, the A23’s photos are sharper and more focused than many of its competitors.

Only A23 can’t record video in 4K. Its maximum value is Full HD 30 fps.
Selfie shots are best done on the young model, and choosing the best portrait on the main camera is very difficult. With the main lens, the brightest photo in portrait mode came out on the A33, and the clearest and most detailed photo was on the A73.
The screens of the devices are very similar. In this case, the refresh rate of A23 and A33 is 90 Hz, A53 and A73 – 120 Hz.
In addition, it is only protected from water and dust according to A33, A53, A73, IP67 standards. The younger version does not have such protection. At the same time, with the A23 there are power supplies of 15 W, while the rest do not have a charger in the kit. The younger version also has a headphone jack.
Devices differ slightly in the location of the fingerprint scanner. For A33, A53 and A73 it is located at the bottom of the screen, for A23 it is inside the unlock button.
If you need an affordable smartphone with good features, choose the A23. If you want the camera to be a little better – pay attention to the A33. If you choose one of the older models, then, according to the expert, it makes sense to pay for the A73 if you want to have a more stable smartphone with an interesting design.
