A team of scientists from The Dawn Project tested the Tesla Model 3 autopilot to detect stationary dummies on the road.

The autopilot hit a child-sized dummy three times at an average speed of 40 km/h. The car did not brake before inspections.

To the point: For the first time, the United States has published data on accidents involving autopilot. Tesla first.

The experiment was carried out under the influence of alcohol at the Willow Springs International race track in prison.

The Dawn Project believes Tesla’s Autopilot should not be used on normal roads.

Elon Musk says Tesla’s autopilot software is “awesome”. This is not true. This is a deadly threat to all Americans.

Dan O’Dowd, founder of The Dawn Project

The Dawn Project has allowed a US ad campaign to draw attention to the issues by addressing Tesla Autopilot safety issues. [DailyMail]
