The Shvabe holding company, which is part of Rostec, has presented the first anamorphic cinema lenses in Russia, according to the holding’s website.
Anamorphic lenses allow you to take wide-angle photos. Thanks to a special lens system, images at the edges and sides are not distorted. These lenses are actively used in film studios.
The first line of lenses launched by Shvabe is represented by focal lengths of 40, 60, 80 and 100 mm. The lenses were developed at the Lytkarino optical glass plant.
Russian film studios tested a version of the lens with a focal length of 100 mm. According to Shvabe, the operators noted the high cinematic quality of the lens.
