Sberbank has revealed a new fraudulent scheme with purchases on the Internet

Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank, spoke about the new scheme that scammers use to steal money on the Internet.

A scammer disguised as a salesperson asks you to buy a product from him, supposedly with a money-back offer. This is done ostensibly to raise the seller’s rating. To interest the buyer, the seller offers a premium of 4-5% of the purchase.

The buyer buys the goods several times, receives the funds with a premium, but at one point the seller stops communicating and the buyer is left with no money and no premium.

“This scheme is now gaining momentum and becoming more popular in our country,” Kuznetsov said.

Among the most popular schemes among fraudsters, Kuznetsov named imaginary sales and allegedly issued a loan in the name of the victim.
