The man said that he and his wife were tired of waking up at 2 am due to the loud meowing of the Jinx cat that brought home prey. If the owners did not pick up the dead mouse fast enough, the animal began to eat it and soil the carpet. The man admitted to causing stress.

To solve the problem, the Briton decided to combine his own cat cap with a chip and a camera. He developed software for the device based on artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. The system detects the presence of prey in a cat’s teeth in a picture taken from the camera. If there is prey, the cat’s cover is temporarily closed and a notification is sent to the owners’ phones.

The system works effectively and has prevented Jinx from dragging dead mice or birds home 42 times!
