The nuclear technology development company TerraPower has received $750 million in funding for projects to build nuclear reactors and treat cancer with radioactive elements.

Bill Gates’ TerraPower raised $750 million for projects in nuclear power and medicine

Most of the investment came from founder and chairman Bill Gates and the South Korean energy company SK ($250 million).

The money will go towards the development of nuclear energy technologies and innovations in nuclear medicine. The company is now working on a demonstration of its sodium reactor technology at a coal-fired power plant in Wyoming.
