On eBay’s US marketplace, a T-shirt and business card belonging to an Apple Store employee were auctioned off. The lot itself is unremarkable, but the name of the employee, Sam Sung, is striking, in keeping with the name of Samsung, the US manufacturer’s main competitor in the smartphone market.
As Apple Insider learned, Sam Struan was actually called Sam Sun at the time of his work at the American company. From 2010 to 2012, the young man worked in a store in Glasgow, Scotland, after which he moved to Vancouver and worked another year in the local division.
In 2014, a former Apple employee who is now a career mentor auctioned off a $2,500 Sam Sung business card and donated the proceeds to Children’s Wish BC & Yukon.

In April this year, a member of Sam’s family found another business card created during Struan’s time in Glasgow. A former Apple employee decided to put it up for auction, adding a t-shirt and badge to the lot.
At the moment, the cost of the device on eBay is 760 Canadian dollars (about $585). The seller plans to send the proceeds to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Center in Vancouver.
