VK and Sberbank have agreed to split the joint venture, The Bell has learned. VK will receive only Delivery Club, the rest of the services will go to Sber.
Sources close to the negotiators told The Bell about the deals between VK and Sberbank.
According to the publication, as a result of the O2O Holding section, VK will receive its main asset – the Delivery Club food delivery service. In the future, VK plans to exchange it for Novosti and Zen, owned by Yandex. In this case, Yandex.Food can eliminate its main competitor.
Sberbank will get the remaining services from the joint venture – Samokat, Citidrive, most of whose cars are rented by Sberbank. The joint venture between VK and Sberbank also includes r_keeper, Performance Group, Kitchen in the District.
VK and Sberbank’s plans to split the joint venture became known in June 2021. In October of the same year, they invested 12.2 billion rubles in the joint venture, and in April 2022, they sold the assets of Citymobil to the owner of Taxovichkoff. At the same time, VK announced the purchase of Yandex’s Novosti and Zen services.
