Codemasters and Electronic Arts have announced the F1 22. The new Formula 1 game is rounded off by the Miami circuit and the F1 Life center showcasing unlocked cars, outfits and accessories alongside changes to existing tracks. In addition, the PC version will receive VR support via Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

With modified physics and tires, driving race cars should be more realistic than ever. When racing, players can opt for Immersive mode with risky challenges, while Broadcast mode should provide an immersive experience with cinematics.

As for single player, the My Team game mode is back, like a decade of careers. The two-player campaign returns, as does the online multiplayer mode. With Adaptive AI, the developer aims to offer less experienced racers a better gaming experience by using computer-controlled opponents whose difficulty is based on player driving.

The system requirements have hardly changed compared to F1 2021. Only in terms of graphics the minimum requirement has been increased: users must have at least a GTX 1050 Ti or an RX 470. GTX 1660 Ti and RX 590 are recommended for optimal gaming experience. If you want to enable ray tracing, you must have at least an RTX 2060 or RX 6700 XT. Intel Core i3-2130 or AMD FX 4300 is sufficient as processor, while i5-9600K and Ryzen 5 2600X are recommended.

Both the standard edition and the Champions edition will be released on July 1 for 60 and 80 euros respectively. If you buy the second one before May 16, you can start three days in advance.
