The press service of the Start online movie theater reported a leak in the customer database as a result of a hacker attack. The company notes that the vulnerability has already been fixed and access to personal data is closed.

Online Cinema Start confirmed user data leak

According to the service’s Telegram account, the database contains information for 2021, “it is not completely up to date.”

Start emphasizes that only users’ email addresses and phone numbers have been leaked to the network, there is no other significant data in the database.

“There are no open passwords, browsing history, and most importantly, there is not and cannot be any bank card details and other financial information in the database,” the message reads.

Earlier, the Telegram channel “Information Leaks” reported that the data of 43.9 million users of the Start online cinema entered the network. The database includes first name, last name, email addresses, encrypted passwords, IP addresses, subscription start and end dates, as well as the date of the last login to the platform.
