The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed to increase the annual limit of subsidies for developers and manufacturers of electronic products from 350 million to 1.5 billion rubles. Companies will also be allowed to extend production times when it is not possible to ensure the production of components in foreign factories.

It was proposed to increase the maximum amount of subsidies for manufacturers of electronic products to 1.5 billion rubles.

The draft government decree has been posted for public discussion on regulator.gov.ru. It follows from the document that the authorities are going to change the support mechanisms for Russian electronics developers, Kommersant reported.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce explained that the modifications specify the circumstances that affect the temporality of the project, “together with the community of experts, they reduce the risks of non-compliance with obligations due to causes beyond the control of the organizations.”

According to lawyers and market participants, such measures will help manufacturers who do not have time to implement projects due to sanctions to avoid lawsuits from the ministry in case of project delays.

Earlier, Elodika founder Konstantin Kirillov commented on the possibility of Russian microelectronics entering world markets. The manufacturer of microelectronic components explained how realistic the announced plans are and what challenges startups and companies that design and produce microelements may face.
