The Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, in his Telegram, traditionally, before the entry into force of the new laws, recalled important changes for business from September 1.
Among the updates that are interesting for domestic entrepreneurs:
- Contextual, targeted, and media advertising can now only be served with the “advertising” flag.
- Participants in the marketing and advertising market (including foreign companies) will also have to transfer data on the parameters of the audience for which the media campaign is designed to a single accounting system.
- From the beginning of autumn, all smartphones will have to have the domestic RuStore application store pre-installed (this is necessary to overcome the restrictions of foreign stores).
There are several updates in the personal data law.
- First, it is now impossible for stores to refuse service to a customer if they refuse to provide personal information within their legal right.
- Second, biometric data processing of children and adolescents under 18 years of age is prohibited.
- And thirdly, special attention is paid to the problem of personal data leakage. Operators will now be required to report leaks to the appropriate departments within 24 hours of discovering the problem.
