Parkinson’s disease can have a wide variety of symptoms, such as tremors or impaired balance and coordination. Symptoms can vary from patient to patient, making diagnosis and treatment difficult. Some signs of illness can be observed with the naked eye, as patients take smaller steps. And others can only fix tests.
Such a test is used on the new insole. As the patient performs a series of finger taps, the smart insole collects real-time data and transmits it to the phone app. The more tests a patient undergoes, the more detailed and accurate the data will be. The app may suggest going to the doctor, suggest increasing or decreasing the dose and/or frequency of medication, etc.
