During the State of Play, SEGA announced: Like a dragon: Ishin!, the remake of Yakuza: Ishin, a spin-off of the series released in 2014 for PS3 and PS4. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer which you can watch below.
Set in 1860s Japan, the remale puts us in the shoes of Sakamoto Ryoma, a samurai rescued from a death sentence at the last minute. The game will propose four different fighting styles according to the weapons used. In fact, we will be able to choose between sword fights, revolvers, with a combination of both weapons or even switch to bare-handed combat..
We read the official description of the game:
In 1860 Kyoto reigns iniquity and, in an effort to obtain justice, a samurai will change the course of history. Grab the sword of Sakamoto Ryoma and explore Kyoto in search of your father’s killer, to exonerate yourself from the murder you were wrongly accused of and restore your honor. At the same time, you end the samurai era and change the future of Japan forever. Draw your sword, load your revolver and join the revolution in this historical adventure that only the creators of Yakuza: Like a Dragon could have produced.
Like a dragon: Ishin! will be available from 21 February 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | s.
