Sennheiser has announced new wireless in-ear headphones that include both open and closed adapters. Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless in-ear headphones are mainly aimed at the sports enthusiasts among us, whose open adapters make outdoor activities much safer.

In-ear headphones are generally very good at blocking out ambient noise. This has advantages such as better immersion and increased bass response, but often does not benefit road safety. Additionally, the closed ear canal provides extra-clear audible body sounds such as breathing, palpitations, or your feet hitting the road surface. That’s why Sennheiser also supplies its new headphones with several open-ear adapters that do not block the ear canal.

It has a 9-hour battery life in-ear. With the included charging case, the earbuds can be fully charged twice (18 hours) before recharging, which drops to a total of 27 hours. Sennheisers have a frequency range of 5 Hz to 21 kHz, built-in microphones and are splash-proof (IP54). They’ll be available on May 3, and you can pre-order them on the Sennheiser website.
