Yandex.Taxi explained the incident with a massive congestion of drivers on Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow, due to which the traffic on the highway was interrupted. The service crashed because attackers tried to disrupt its operation.
On the morning of September 1, in the Fili district on Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow, residents observed a massive congestion of Yandex. The taxi drivers were moving along the road in one direction.
Due to the traffic jam, even in the Fili metropolitan area, drivers had to stand in traffic jams for up to two hours and normal traffic along the avenue was interrupted.
The Yandex.Go press service explained that the incident occurred due to a malfunction in the service caused by an attempt by intruders to disrupt its work: drivers received massive false orders in one area.
They promised to make a decision on the compensation of drivers for the consequences of a failure in Yandex.Go in the near future.
