The mall also filed a lawsuit against Bershka CIS for more than 242 million rubles, Izvestia reported.

Claims from a branch of the Cypriot shopping center Zelenopark near Moscow against Massimo Dutti, Zara CIS, Bershka CIS, Oisho CIS, Pull and Bear are also being considered. All lawsuits were filed in the amount of more than 100 million rubles.

Basically, the companies ask to recover back rent from Inditex, as well as a fine for the suspension of stores.

Experts believe that the mall decided to collect debts and fines from the group and break ties with it in order to rent the stores to other tenants.

Spain’s Inditex terminated leases with shopping centers in June. Retail outlets in Moscow and the regions were subject to optimization. Inditex has suspended all its stores in Russia since March 5 due to the military operation in Ukraine.
