I have several straps for Apple Watch, among which are the most beloved original Velcro sports watches, the so-called sports loop.
Its advantages are that it is easily adjustable, it is fastened with Velcro, it is pleasant and soft to the touch, and most importantly, this strap does not scratch or rub the body of my MacBook when I type texts.
So I ordered a new one on AliExpress, of the same type, but for 112 rubles.

The strap arrived and I challenged its original. It is clear that there are no Nike inscriptions on the Chinese accessory, but are there any other differences? Let’s see together:
The difference with the original is minimal, only two differences
Velcro on the original strap is more pleasant due to the dense backing. There is no such luxury on a Chinese accessory.
The feel of the Chinese sports strap is exactly the same as the original Sport loop. Made neatly, the threads do not stick out anywhere, accessories do not emit external smells.
Velcro exactly matches the original strap. The firmness is felt, the thong does not come unfastened even during intensive trainings in a gym.
Plastic mounts, there are also no complaints about them: they cling to the Apple Watch case in the same way as on the original straps. It seems not at all.
There is even one metal insert on the Chinese mount, just like in the original strap.
And why did I spend a lot of money if for the same 4000 rubles you can buy several existing straps of different colors that are in no way inferior to the quality of the original accessory?
However, there is still a differencealthough they are not visible at first sight.
The most important difference is the quality of plastic parts., such as the strap attachment and the plastic strip at the end of the strap. In the original strap, these elements are quite weighty, and in the copy they are very light.
On the one hand, this is even a plus, because the selected strap weighs practically nothing, but on the other hand, the quality of Chinese plastic can fail at the most inopportune moment. And I would not want the strap fastening to break during wake sessions, for example. Goodbye then Apple Watch, drown in the river and that’s it.
The strap fits any size wrist.
The second difference in Velcro. On the Chinese strap, they do not have a neat white backing, the same original. Although it doesn’t overwhelm the functionality, when directly exposed to this element with the original design, the Sport hinge looks more pleasing.
Otherwise, I did not find any significant difference. The strap from AliExpress for 112 rubles is quite suitable for replacing the original accessory, which does not have obvious differences in tactile and visual sensations. You can take and enjoy.
And if you still don’t like this strap, 112 rubles is not so sorry for the opportunity to test the Chinese greatness with your own hands.
