According to court documents, Delaware Judge Kathleen St. He wants Jay McCormick to order Musk to broadcast all text messages between January 1 and July 8. Twitter is also asking for texts from Musk’s chief deputy, Jared Bearhall, for the same period. Bearhall runs the Musk family office and is believed to have been heavily involved in arranging the financing of the Twitter acquisition.

Twitter lawyers claim that Musk and his lawyers did not show “good faith” in providing the texts as part of a pre-trial exchange of information about a case to force Musk into an agreement to buy a stake in the company. Platform and Musk have sued more than 100 banks, hedge funds and individuals to gather evidence for the October 17 lawsuit.

Musk’s lawyers denied any wrongdoing regarding the pre-trial exchange of information. They claim Twitter has launched a campaign to cover up witnesses with details of spam and bot accounts in the platform’s customer base. Musk made questions about these accounts the main argument he had the right to withdraw from the deal.
