According to Sergey Baburov, the head of the Navigator company, Russian civil aviation aircraft in the near future will be associated with the launch of a domestically developed satellite dish – its testing is close to completion.

To date, most of the Russian aircraft are equipped with the American AT-1675 satellite dish, which in Russia was consumed with the introduction into the atmosphere.

In addition, deliveries to the Russian Federation, spare parts of aircraft for them were sold, and all contracts for the maintenance of aircraft of European and American production were terminated.

Against this background, a broad logical decision was made in the field of the Russian aviation industry, which were replaced by foreign counterparts. One of them was the domestically developed AS-005 satellite communications antenna.

At the same time, the AC-005 is comparable in mass and a number of parameters with the AT-1675 antenna, and even surpasses it in some technical characteristics. The Russian antenna works with GPS frequency as well as GLONASS and can be installed on almost any Russian aircraft, helicopter or drone.

At the stage of serial production, the AC-005 will pass in 2023, but in the Navigator it will stop at this non-flying one – the company plans to create a one-piece linear antenna designed for those seeking aircraft, as well as some other promising developments in aviation industry.
