Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Gwynne has decided to get rid of her memories of her relationship with the Tesla CEO and has auctioned 21 items, including photos and objects signed by the billionaire. The auction started and continues until Wednesday (14) on the Boston-based RR Auction website.

The lowest bid, which featured a photo of Musk having dinner with his friends, was just $134. A birthday card signed by Tycoon costs more than $10,000. The items also include a 14-karat gold necklace adorned with an emerald mined from the CEO’s father, Errol Musk’s mines in Zambia.

Photographs make up the largest portion of the auctioned items. There is Tesla CEO records using a computer, on travels and intimate moments with his ex-girlfriend. In the images, it is possible to see how the businessman was when he was only 24 years old. Another remarkable piece in the collection is $1 bill signed by Musk.

The couple were together from 1994 to 1995, while they both attended the University of Pennsylvania, they lived and studied in the “Spruce Street” section of the college dorm. The purpose of the auction is to raise money for Grwynne’s stepson’s college education.

Celebrity auction

RR Auction is known for auctioning celebrity items. The company was responsible for selling Steve Jobs’ first Apple 1 prototype for about $680,000 in August.

It also sold the first seat for spaceflight with Blue Origin for US$28 million and Albert Einstein’s handwritten formula E=mc2 for more than US$1.2 million.
