Scientific papers published in the early to mid-2010s show that some fruits are more effective at lowering blood pressure than others.

In 2013, scientists from the University of Oslo concluded that kiwi significantly lowers blood pressure in smokers. In general, systolic blood pressure decreased by 10 mm Hg, and diastolic – 9 mm Hg.

Increased pressure is considered 140/90 mm Hg. and above or 150/90 mm Hg. and above (in the latter case – if you are over 80).

The second of the studies examined was conducted in 2015. It was also done by the University of Oslo, but people who already had moderately high blood pressure participated in it. The result was the same as in the first study. So kiwi helped lower blood pressure: for this, men and women ate three fruits a day.

At the same time, not only kiwi pulp is useful, but also the skin. This is because the peel of this fruit contains many vitamins and minerals, including folic acid, fiber, vitamins C and E, and antioxidants. When eating kiwi peel, the nutrient level in the body can increase by 30-50%.
