Google has added new keyboard shortcuts to the app to increase accessibility for the visually impaired. Google Calendar. The idea of big tech is to make Android more and more accessible, not just as an operating system and web services.
New Google Calendar keyboard shortcuts verbally announce specific details of added events. According to the company, the innovation aims to benefit users with computers with screen readers on Microsoft Windows, Chrome OS and macOS operating systems.
To find properties for entries in Google Calendar Press Alt + and number on Windows, Alt + Shift and the number in Chrome OS or Option + number on Mac. Each detail has a linked number.

If you want to test the shortcuts in Windows, press Alt + and the number to perform the action:
- Title
- Date and time
- Guests
- room or place
- Definition
- appendices
- Notifications
New accessibility features in Google Calendar should be available on the page for all users even at the end of september. All Workspace customers and personal account holders will have access.
Google’s calendar app already has a set of accessibility commands for the visually impaired using a screen reader. The full list can be accessed by pressing Command + / on Mac or Ctrl + / on Windows and Chrome OS.
