The European Union has published the eighth package of sanctions against Russia. In addition to cryptocurrency restrictions for Russian citizens, the package will introduce a price cap on oil transportation and ban EU citizens from holding senior positions in some state-owned companies.

The list of new sanctions is reflected in the official journal of the European Union. 30 people fell under the EU restrictions, including the head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova, Kalashnikov chairman Alan Lushnikov, singers Oleg Gazmanov, Nikolai Rastorguev and Yulia Chicherina.

Sanctions were also imposed against seven legal entities: Goznak, which produces banknotes, the Avangard machine-building plant, the Fakel office, the Irkut corporation and others.

The new restrictions also include the introduction of a maximum price for the maritime transport of Russian oil to third countries and other sanctions related to the transport of oil.

In a new package of sanctions restrictions, the EU has imposed a ban on the use of its crypto accounts for Russians and residents of the Russian Federation.
