A big novelty has been released in Russia – the film “Heart of Parma”.

Large-scale film lasting almost 3 hours
Get ready right away for the fact that this film adaptation has been going on for quite a long time.
Directed by Anton Megerdichev, who shot “Upward Movement”, was able to really feel the era and visit the big screens. But not without flaws, of which there are quite a lot.
What is the movie about: Russian prince Mikhail and Tiche – children of different peoples, different worlds and different gods. The love of a young warlord and a lamia witch seems impossible, but it forbids all prohibitions, on which a large number of problems depend.
Now only the future of Parma, the ancient harsh lands in which pagan gods hide, depends on Michael. There are heroes and ghosts, princes and shamans, Voguls and Muscovites here. True warriors are not afraid of death, they choose between duty, loyalty to brotherhood and love for the only woman in the world.
Let’s go through the points.
one. This is a very big movie. It is felt that along the way they decided not to save – the budget amounted to 670 million rubles. Filming took place in Perm, and mostly local residents participated in them.
The authors use graphics a little (but when necessary, it is very impressive), which additionally attracts to the screen. All decorations are natural. They even built a wooden fortress near Gubakha, which later became a tourist disaster.
2. This is fantasy first and foremost. Yes, the film is based on the events that happened, but it still captures them from an artistic point of view. He does not forget those events that change greatly for themselves.
If this is a movie, for example, with The Lord of the Rings, then it looks like a cheap analogue. And if with the recent “Tobol”, then it turned out how it differs on the protruding side, although it feels like a series that was edited in the film.
This is where the main problem of the novelty comes out – no sense of the whole picture. It seems that the film adaptation is obvious and obvious, but at the last moment they changed their minds.
3. The story itself is quite simple. This is both a plus and a minus at the same time.
On the one hand, it is so easy for the viewer to convey the meaning so that everyone can understand what the movie is about. On the other hand, it looks like clumsy and messy. For almost 3 hours of running time, the authors were unable to find the story properly.
At the same time, fantasy elements look too affected, although quite natural.
The film does not raise any difficult topics, but only talks about how different people are. For this reason, there is no intelligible main plot here, but there are several of them, as well as with villains. Thus, directors and screenwriters focused on not focusing on one person, but on the contrary, spreading attention to everyone at once.
The characters themselves are bright and interesting, but the situations that send them out don’t come across as exciting or in the least bit enticing. No, there are also good scenes here that stir up interest, but it is unlikely that you will be able to find something really memorable for many years. Except the final battle.
The cast is not the most famous, but quite adequate. They play exactly the roles that the authors belong to them. The same Alexander Kuznetsov quite vividly infected his prince Mikhail and freed him from the hereditary lamia witch Ticherty performed by Elena Yerbakova.
In fact, the film is held up mainly by their love lineand the rest fades into the background. Trailers are very deceptive, they contain something completely different. So I do not advise you to watch them before watching.
This movie has no special ambitions
The picture can maneuver between different genres, then I’m leaving in fairytale fantasy then insane horror. But in fact, it does not provide quality improvement to either one or the other.
In some places, the novelty tries to show Christianity as more barbaric than pagan believers of nomadic peoples. Orthodox observations are removed from us, but at the same time repetitions show him how highly he was appreciated then.
The message is that we must respectfully realize ourselves towards all religions, no matter what anyone experiences. But you have to search hard for it.
But in terms of entertainment, there are no questions at all. it large-scale movie with a ton of blood and mutilated limbs. It looks impressive and unusual for a Russian resolution.
The picture looks amazingly alive, it seems, it seems, it seems. And each new frame in the next location is pleasantly pleasing to the eye.
However, due to the torn and sometimes clumsy removal, this desire disappears.
Is it worth watching?
If you want to look at a high-quality picture of a Russian film, yes.
In other cases, I would not walk on this picture. She does not draw out her own ambitions and falls under the weight of nonsense and empty dialogues. great timing, I would not advise sitting and waiting for it to finally work out.
