Last Monday (10th), TCL announced its new 85-inch TV, the company’s largest product of mini LED technology. The launch is part of the updated 6 series line that promises to bring higher quality displays and operating systems to the public.

The model, called TCL 6 series TV 85R655, comes with features such as the following. Quantum Dot nanocrystal panel and HDR Pro Pack technology With Dolby Vision IQ that increases image brightness levels. The panel’s lighting technology, mini-LED, can deliver images with higher levels of contrast, vibrant colors and darker blacks.

In a statement, the company says the model is ideal for “movie buffs”, because when you sit about 2 meters away from the screen, it is possible to get an experience like sitting in the middle of a movie theater. Quite interesting in theory, but in practice sitting too close to such a large TV can be quite uncomfortable.

The TCL 6-series TV 85R655 is currently available in North America for US$199, or around R$10,400 with direct conversion.
