It is planned to include 500,000 users in Metaverse. However, things went so badly that Zuckerberg even cut the plan down to 280 thousand before the end of 2022. Only 200 thousand people have registered on the platform so far.
The problem reportedly is that users are not satisfied with their experience at Horizon Worlds: It does not live up to expectations and marketing promises. People don’t like that the metastore is almost empty and avatars don’t look appealing.
There is information that the company “freezes” the project for an indefinite period until they fix these issues.
