Insurers named the most stolen cars of the year in Russia. All of the top 5 fell on cars from the mid-price segment, but in general, the number of thefts decreased.
AlfaStrhovanie provided analysis on the dynamics of car thefts. The experts considered data from early 2022.
The 5 most stolen cars in Russia look like this:
- Hyundai Santa Fe – 12%;
- Mitsubishi Outlander – 7%;
- Hyundai Crete – 4%;
- Hyundai Tucson-4%;
- Kia Sorento – 4%.
Separately, analysts made the top 5 for Moscow:
- Hyundai Santa Fe – 16%;
- Hyundai Tucson-12%;
- Hyundai Sonata – 12%;
- Hyundai Crete – 8%;
- PalisadeHyundai – 8%.
The number of thefts this year has decreased compared to the previous one, the insurance company said.
“It is also important that there are no significant surprises in the ranking in the form of a large number of luxury cars. In many ways, this is also confirmed by the fact that they are technically more secure from the point of view of organizing the theft process itself,” said Alexander Kharagezov, director of the insurance payments department at AlfaStrakhovanie.
