Telecom Daily predicts a 10-15% increase in tariffs for cooperation in large operations in Russia in 2023. These facts testify to the discovery of the Finam investment holding and the analytical agency TMT Consulting.

First of all, the price increase will be associated with the proposed purchase of sub-sanctioned equipment:

Operators today are in dire need of cash because they need to replace aging equipment they buy from companies such as Cisco, Alcatel and Nokia, who no longer sell this equipment to them due to a levy.

TV companies have no choice but to find loopholes, how to get around these bans. In this case, operators will look for partners who will sell this equipment bypassing. These partners, in turn, are their insurance claims under secondary arrest for providing oil and gas equipment in circumvention of restrictions. This may lead to an increase in the cost of purchased equipment.

These increased costs for operators will offset the increase in tariffs.

– Finam columnist Leonid Delitsyn

MTS, Beeline and MegaFon do not mention that the collection of communication tariffs: when they are adjusted, the company collects “the dynamics of the costs of maintaining and developing the telecom infrastructure, inflationary processes, the competitive and broad economic situation.” Tele2 declined to comment on the issue.
