The MySklad cloud service and the provider community in the MPGO markets conducted a study and found out if a private label is really a current trend for business in the new conditions. RB.RU got acquainted with the results of the study.

Almost 50% of Russian sellers in the markets have acquired their own brands.

43% of the sellers surveyed already have their own brand, another 19% intend to register it in the near future.

Most vendors in the markets have only one brand: 35%, 17%, from two to four, and 5%, more than four.

Most of the respondents stated that the creation of their own brand did not affect their turnover in any way. At the same time, 47% noted that there was still an increase in billing. Among them, 18% reported that the increase was small: up to 10%, and 15% of sellers said that the increase was significant: from 10 to 50%, 14% said that their own brand brought them great value. growth: 50% and above. .

According to analysts, the withdrawal of foreign brands from the Russian market has intensified competition among sellers on the sites. Over the last year, the number of vendors has tripled. The growth of private labels is influenced by the possibility of parallel imports, cooperation with Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and other countries.

The most popular category of private label products turned out to be home and repair items – 25%, followed by clothing and footwear – 24%, health and beauty products – 16%, children’s products – 12%. During the survey, service specialists noted a new trend: the sale of private-label automotive products.

At the same time, 43% of those surveyed do not yet have their own brand, and another 4% have no idea what it is.
